Aban Marker Kabraji

Aban Marker Kabraji is the Senior Regional Advisor for Climate and Environment to the Regional Director of UNEP Asia-Pacific, effective October 2024. Previously, she served as Senior Advisor for Climate Change and Biodiversity at the UN Development Coordination Office
forAsia-Pacific (UNDCO), focusing on Thailand, Pakistan, Samoa, and Fiji. She also advised RCs on key partnerships and led the “One UN” approach in Pakistan, addressing the Triple Planetary Crisis, culminating in the development of the Living Indus Programme under the leadership of the Resident Coordinator and Pakistan’s Ministry of Climate Change. She led nearly 300 organizations in over 70 environmental initiatives. With 40+ years of experience, Ms. Kabraji is a leader in development, conservation, gender, culture, and sovereignty, and has extensive experience in conflict resolution. In 2018, she received the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz Pakistan Civil Award for her contributions to conservation and international diplomacy.
