Dechen Tsering
Ms. Tsering has over 33 years of experience in national government and intergovernmental organizations, holding management and leadership roles with the United Nations. She has been a key negotiator for least-developed countries and contributed to the Least Developed Countries Expert Group, the Least Developed Countries Fund, and the Green Climate Fund. She also has extensive experience managing complex development projects. In 2017, Ms. Tsering became UNEP’s Regional Director and Representative for Asia and the Pacific. Previously, she served as Director of the Finance, Technology and Capacity-Building Programme at the UNFCCC, supporting international cooperation on finance, technology transfer, and capacity building for climate action.
